Summer Opportunities

1. Summer Bridge Readiness (for rising 6th and 9th grade students)

The faculty and staff at Rancho Dominguez Prep are excited to announce our Summer Bridge Readiness Program for rising 6th and 9th grade students. This program, sponsored by LAUSD's Division of Instruction, will help 5th and 8th grade students transition to middle school and high school. Our Bridge program will take place in person at Rancho Dominguez on the following days:

Please note: Summer Bridge Program dates have changed to Tuesday, August 5 from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm and Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. New Student Orientation will begin at 2:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Saturday, May 31, 2025 - 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday, June 7, 2025 - 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Tuesday, August 5, 2025 - 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Wednesday, August 6, 2025 - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Each day will be filled with fun and engaging activities to prepare your child for their next level of education including strategies for success, games, and lots of prizes! Click here to register your rising 5th or 8th grade student for this exciting opportunity!

2. Summer School Credit Recovery (9th - 12th Grade)

High school students currently enrolled can take advantage of the Summer Term program. This program offers credit recovery courses toward high school graduation and preparation for post-secondary education. The program is structured with two periods of in-person classes taught by Los Angeles Unified secondary teachers and two periods of fully virtual asynchronous courses.

PROGRAM DATES: June 17- July 16

(All programs will be closed on June 19 and July 4 in observance of national holidays)

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

Period 1 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Nutrition 11:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Period 2 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Period 3 & 4 Asynchronous (Edgenuity curriculum)

3. Freshman Success Academy Summer School (8th Grade)

8:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.

Beyond the Bell extended care is also available 12:00 pm to 6:00pm (no late buses)
